The Story Behind MeetCute
MeetCute wasn't created in an office or around a conference table.
It started on a barstool at the best local dive bar around, Winners Circle.
That night, I was sitting there with my friend, Bre, talking about her frustrations of dating apps. We were sharing stories over a beer with our favorite bartender, Bailey, when she casually said,
"You should just make her a business card and hand it out to guys you think would be perfect for her."
We all laughed.
The idea seemed ridiculous at first, and we joked about how funny it would be.
But after a few days, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
I kept coming back to one simple question:
What if it wasn't such a crazy idea after all?
What if there was a way for friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and other trusted connections to introduce great people without public profiles, endless swiping, or awkward first messages?
That's when MeetCute was born.
I'm incredibly fortunate to be happily married to a wonderful man, but watching one of my closest friends navigate modern dating reminded me how difficult it can be to make genuine connections. I wanted to create something that brought intention (and the people who know you best) back into the dating experience.
Today, every MeetCute profile is personally created by me because I believe meaningful relationships deserve a more thoughtful, personal beginning.
